International Organisations & Agreements

Aims to apply ecological sciences to protect the environment, protect public parks, develop national and international laws related to environmental protection and development, planning and learning in the field of natural resource protection, also works in cooperation with the United Nations Environment Program and the International Fund Wildlife and UNESCO, develops recommendations and takes necessary measures to ensure the continued availability of these resources, as well as provides specialized expertise to carry out various projects through its network.

This organization aims to serve the marine regional environment and protect it from pollution and includes: -

• Environmental assessment of the area.
• Developing principles for managing activities that have an impact on improving the environment, protecting it and exploiting renewable marine resources on firm bases.
• Developing legal documents and supporting procedures, including the establishment of national and regional regulatory bodies and structures required for the successful implementation of the action plan.

Aims to pay attention to marine affairs in general, such as transportation, insurance, shipping lines, passenger safety, preventing pollution of the marine environment associated with previous activities and the Sultanate is represented by the Ministry of Transport and Communications.
